Del Norte Reads

Del Norte Reads is a library Literacy Program in partnership with the Del Norte County Library District.  We are a grant/donation funded program through the California Library Services and we receive donations and funding through various community partnerships. 

Free Services @ Del Norte Reads Learning Center:

• ESL Classes - Beginning classes for English as a second language learners.
  
• Language, Science & Math GED - Prepare for taking GED tests for language, math and science.
• Computer 101 - Learn basic word processing, online researching, web surfing, shopping online and e-mail.  Other topics are available upon request.
• Literacy - Improve your literacy skills, all levels of tutoring are available.

New Dictionaries

Del Norte Reads has new dictionaries for people to use who speak:

Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Hindi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai, Tibetan, Tagalog (Filipino), Italian, Yurok, Cambodian, Vietnamese Hmong & Gujarati (dialect from India).

Volunteer

There are many volunteer positions available through Del Norte Reads.  Some volunteers tutor, some help with various activities and others help with office details.
